AEEA’s Retrofit Vendor Network for Large Buildings offers vendors the opportunity to join a specialized directory of experienced contractors, consultants, and suppliers who lead Alberta in sustainable building practices. Developed by the Alberta Energy Efficiency Alliance (AEEA), the Network directory will be promoted to building owners and decision-makers who are seeking retrofit providers.

Are you eligible?
To join the AEEA Retrofit Vendor Network and be listed in the directory, each vendor must meet at least two of the following criteria:
Must-have:
- Experience delivering projects that meet recognized sustainability standards, such as LEED, BOMA, or
Energy Star. - Direct involvement in projects focused on building energy performance, including areas like building envelopes, mechanical, metering, lighting, smart controls, or renewables.
Ideally have:
- Proven experience with projects valued over $1M (total construction value).
- Experience with various collaborative project delivery methods, ideally Integrated Project Delivery (IPD), design-build, construction management, or design assist, and experience using Building Information Modeling (BIM).
- Experience working on projects across multiple regions, ideally in more than one province.
Vendors may also be evaluated on a case-by-case basis, considering additional relevant experience or qualifications.
Our partners
The AEEA is a supporting partner of the Alberta Ecotrust Retrofit Accelerator program, designed to help building owners and managers make sustainable upgrades known as “deep retrofits.” Funded through Natural Resources Canada’s Deep Retrofit Accelerator Initiative (DRAI), this initiative strengthens Alberta’s deep retrofit market by scaling low-emission buildings.
