Interim Manager of the Centre for Grid Innovation – NAIT
Darren is the Interim Manager of the Centre for Grid Innovation at NAIT, previously Research Lead.
Darren is a master electrician with over 15 years’ experience with electrical systems, contracting and management. Darren has layered onto his electrical expertise with a diploma from NAIT in Alternative Energy Technology, and a further C.E.T. certification with ASET in Electrical Engineering Technology. Familiar with a wide array of distributed energy generation, energy storage systems, electrical controls and safety, energy management, and energy modeling services.
Darren brings expertise and experience to the lab to help bring product validation, research, and microgrid use cases to reality for industry and business clients. For NAIT CGI, Darren provides technical and safety oversight over all lab projects and activities.
