Flynn develops modular Speedwall system to achieve Passive House building envelope performance
AEEA Retrofit Vendor Flynn Canada utilizes its modular Speedwall building envelope system to achieve Passive House performance for BCIT’s unique needs.
BCIT’s Tall Timber Student Housing project requirements included tight timelines, stringent sustainability performance, and minimal construction noise. Flynn developed a prefabricated modular wall system called Speedwall which was designed as a quality, interlocking, airtight assembly. Flynn’s Speedwall achieved performance characteristics of thermal, acoustics, and air tightness to provide a building with extremely low operating costs, and with a TEDI target set at 15, the highest performance set by any building code in North America at the time of construction.
